Sylvester LIBLIN Dies At Hospital

Sylvester LIBLIN, native of Jefferson county and prominent farmer until his recent retirement, passed away Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. He passed away at the Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient for the past eight weeks.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian church with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the church at 2 o'clock the day of the services.

Sylvester LIBLIN, 78, was born Feb. 1, 1875, in Jefferson county the son of the late George and Mary LYONS LIBLIN (sic. the maiden name of Mary was LONG, not LYONS).

He was united in marriage on Feb. 7, 1912, to Della Catherine DIERS, who survives. The wedding took place in the Richwoods community near Fairfield.

LIBLIN was a well known Jefferson county farmer until his retirement. He and Mrs. LIBLIN have made their home in Fairfield for the past 13 years.

Besides his wife he is survived by one brother, Frank LIBLIN, San Bernardino, Cal., and a sister Mrs. Della FICKEL, Eldon, Ia. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
