Mrs. LIBLIN, 93, Taken In Death

Death came this morning to Rose Winifred LIBLIN, long-time resident of the Fairfield community.

She passed away at 8 a.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient since Dec. 17. She had been in poor health for several years.

Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Donald Eagle in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Rose Winifred LIBLIN, 93, was born Jan. 29, 1865, in Washington county, Iowa. She would have been 94 years old tomorrow. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther VANNATTA BEAN.

She came to Jefferson county in 1876 and was united in marriage on Nov. 29, 1888, to George W. LIBLIN. The wedding took place at the home of her parents. Her husband preceded her in death on March 20, 1935. She was also preceded in death by a son, George W. LIBLIN, who died 2 1/2 years ago (sic. this appears to be a major obituary error; the son so mentioned was born in 1899 and died on July 14, 1902. Unless the couple had another child subsequently also named George W. LIBLIN who died roughly in 1956, the above "2 1/2 years ago" was in error).

Mrs. LIBLIN had been a member of the Christian church for 77 years and was the oldest member at the time of her death.

She is survived by one brother, Fred BEAN, Florence, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
