Pg. 3 Col. 1GEORGE LIBLIN DIED TODAY
George LIBLIN passed away this morning at his home, southeast of the city. His death was due to a complication of diseases.
Mr. LIBLIN was born in France, August 13, 1841. He came to this country at the age of four years.
On January 1, 1864, he united in marriage with Miss Mary LONG. To this union were born seven children, six of whom still survive. They are: George, Jr., Mellisa (sic. Melissa Ann), Edward, Frank, and Sylvester LIBLIN, all of this county, and Mrs. Stella FICKEL of Eldon.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the home in charge of Rev. Polly. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Note: Born August 13, 1841 and died Dec. 10, 1920. Buried in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. Old.P.330. Although some genealogy sources append "Sr." to his name, no such designation is used in his obituary nor headstone inscriptions.
