Grace STINSON ARMSTRONG (sic. middle given name reportedly 'Mary') who was born in Washington, Iowa, daughter of the late J. M. and Rosetta MEEKER STINSON (sic. Jacob M. STINSON), died Sunday night.
She came with the family to reside in Fairfield in 1885, was popular and active in musical social and church circles.
In 1891 she was united in marriage to J. H. FUNK, now deceased.
To them was born a daughter Rosalie. In her widowhood she and daughter spent years with her sister, Mrs. Effie STONE and husband in Oklahoma City.
There she united in marriage to S. A. ARMSTRONG, now deceased.
Her sudden death released her from years of ill health which she bore with indomitable courage and unfailing christian buoyancy of spirit.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Fred I. GLENN, grandson Armand, brother D. D. STINSON of Wichita and sister, Mrs. W. E. HARRIS.
Her father; mother; two sisters, Mrs. E. A. STONE and Mrs. H. HOWLETT and a brother Everett preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted by Dr. Vorhies at Murray Funeral Home. Burial in family lot (sic. Old.P.012) in Evergreen cemetery.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I have no relation to the person(s) mentioned.Admin. note: Grace's death certificate gives her date and time of death as October 25, 1937, at 6:15 a.m., and 70 years, 7 months and 15 days of age; it also notes her birthdate as March 10, 1867, but this may not be accurate as she is noted in the 1870 census as being 5 years old, in the 1880 census (as Leatha) at 15 years old, in the 1885 census at 18 years old, and in her marriage record with John J. FUNCK as 22 (23 next birthday) in May, 1891. The dates on her gravestone are 1865 - 1937. Grace's sister Stella HARRIS was the informant for the death certificate info; it would appear that she gave their brother M. Everett's birthdate in place of Grace's.
