Evelyn R. BELL, 91, of Salem, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Friends Church in Salem, with Daryl Coffin officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery in Salem.
Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
A memorial has been established to Salem Friends Church.

Mrs. BELL was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Henry County, the daughter of John E. and Ida Pearl SCHULZ LEE. She married Pearl SEPTER Nov. 24, 1951. He died in 1974. She later married Richard BELL Dec. 29, 1976. He died in May 1987.
Mrs. BELL was a member of Salem Friends Church for more than 50 years.
Survivors include eight children: Art SAVAGE and wife Linda of Omaha, Neb., Tim SAVAGE and wife Karen of Murray, Neb., Louise SCHUMAKER and husband Darrell of Tennessee, Alice LAUN and husband George of Baxter, Ky., Elizabeth ABBOTT and husband Larry of Jacksonville, Ark., Dennis SEPTER and wife Cindy of Avoca, Janet BEACHY and husband Roy of Kalona and Marty SEPTER of Burlington; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one brother: Lloyd LEE of Salem.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Irene, Dorothy, Opal and Wilma; and three brothers: Elmer, Harry and John Jr.
