Karen Ann SANDERSON LAMB, 69, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at home.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Greg Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery in Salem.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Ms. LAMB was born Nov. 3, 1941, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Paul Everett and Edith Eugene May SHAFFNER SANDERSON. She married Richard Wayne LAMB Nov. 3, 1958, at his grandfather's home. The couple later divorced.
Ms. LAMB attended school in Hillsboro. She was a homemaker in Fairfield for more than 30 years. She recently moved to Mount Pleasant.
Ms. LAMB enjoyed crocheting doilies and other crafts and reading.
Survivors include one son, Gerald LAMB and wife Renee of Middletown; three daughters, Patricia DuFOUR and husband Daniel of New London, Brenda HAND and husband Rick of Mount Pleasant and Victoria PEARSON and husband Vernon of Mount Pleasant; one brother, Richard SANDERSON of Comanche; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband; one son, James LAMB; two brothers, James and John SANDERSON; three sisters, Phyllis HALL, Bonnie KEMPF and Pauline JOB; one granddaughter; and her longtime companion, Darrell PHILLIPS.
