The family came to Iowa in 1907 and resided on a farm six miles northwest of the city and moved to the present home in 1910. Mr. WOLETT died March 28, 1917.

Mrs. WOLETT was a member of the Baptist church and professed conversion at the age of sixteen. She was an exceptional amiable character possessing those qualities which really count for good to those who came in contact with her. She was devoted to her church, her family and her friends, truly indeed it can be said of her, she lived a true Christian Life. The church, community and neighborhood will truly feel deeply their loss.

Note: The husband, David, was one of three victims of a automobile/train collision that occurred at the 8th street crossing in Fairfield on March 28, 1917. The other two victims were Chester C. CARL and a young boy, Earl William HODGEN. The CARL family and this WOLETT family are buried in the same plot at Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield (2nd.092).

Note: The first name was spelled as "Armanda" in a Evergreen cemetery listing, and the DOD given as July 15, 1930. The headstone and obituary use "Amanda", and the obituary hereby posted evidently refers to the death taking place on the Saturday before publication, which would be July 19, 1930.
