LOUISE SPRATT DIES TODAY

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence SPRATT succumbs, long illness

Anna Louise SPRATT, 30, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence SPRATT of this city, passed away at 10 a.m. today at her home, 105 East Madison street. She had been in poor health for some time, and seriously ill since Saturday.

The body was brought to the Hoskins Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed as yet.

Miss SPRATT was born March 7, 1910 (sic - 1909), in Iowa. Later the family moved to Canada, where they resided for several years. Miss SPRATT graduated from Fairfield High school with the class of 1929, and later attended Fort Madison Business College. She was employed at one time in the offices of the Cook Transfer Co., of this city. Until her health failed two years ago, Miss SPRATT was a tireless worker in the First Presbyterian church of this city.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I am not related to the person(s) mentioned.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, sharing a headstone with her parents in Lot 2nd.146. The dates on her gravestone are 1909 - 1940, however her obituary and death record use 1910 for a birth year. She can be found in the 1910 census (taken April 15, 1910) at the age of 1 year and 1 month, so it would appear the 1909 date is more accurate.
