DEATH TAKES LOCAL WOMAN

Mrs. J. J. RICHARDSON, 75, long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the University hospital in Iowa City where she was a patient. She fell and broke her hip May 8, 1947, and never recovered.

Last rites will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Donie RICHARDSON was born November 23, 1871, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Plez and Mamie HORTON BICE. She was married December 25, 1896, to James J. RICHARDSON who survives. Mrs. RICHARDSON was a member of the Baptist church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by seven children; William, Oakland, California; Charles C., Garvey, California; Mrs. John BOWDEN, Ottumwa; Joe, Mrs. Charles JOHNSON and Adren, all of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Dollie YANAWAY in 1942, and two sons, James, who died in 1920, and Sammie, who passed away in infancy. Her home was at 800 West Kirkwood.
