Mrs. Martha A. HAYMOND died in Penn Township the 21st ult., after a residence of more than half a century in Jefferson County. She was a native of Virginia and came to Iowa with her husband 55 years ago. The family lived in Van Buren County and then removed to Penn Township where Mrs. H. has resided ever since. She was nearly 83 years of age. Mr. H. died in 1862. Four children survive this aged mother, only one of whom, Hans HAYMOND, resides in this county.
