Funeral Arrangements Not Made; Was Life Long Resident of This County
Noah S. MILLER, Sr., passed away this morning at 8:15 oclock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred MATHER, 505 North Main street. He has been in failing health for the past several years and the past three weeks has been bedfast. On Sunday he suffered a stroke of paralysis which hastened his death.
Funeral arrangements are awaiting word from a son who resides at some distance from here. Mr. MILLER was born March 14 1843 in Ohio and came to this county when a small lad. He was married to Louisa COATS, January 31, 1861 and they have always made their home in this county and for the past 9 years have lived in town.
The following children besides his wife survive him, E. W. MILLER of Reno, Nev., Mrs. Mary I. BENZ and Mrs. George L. McDANIEL of Washington, Iowa, Mrs. Nell SMITH, Muscatine, Ed MILLER, Noah S. MILLER Jr., Mrs. Fred MATHER and Mrs. Carl TYGRET of this city. One son, Alpha passed away several years ago.

Will Be In Charge of Rev. Polly and Interment Will Be At Antioch
Funeral services for Noah S. MILLER who died yesterday morning, will be held at the family home, 505 North Main street Friday morning at 10 oclock. They will be in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly of the Christian church and the service at the grave will be in charge of the Odd Fellows. Burial will be in Antioch cemetery, near Perlee.

Note: Although the body of this obituary refers to Noah as "Sr.", I suspect the designation passed to his son Noah after his death; in an announcement for the golden wedding of the son Noah, is mention of his son 'N. S. MILLER Jr.'. It appears that there are three generations of Noah S. MILLER in this family. Use 'Sr.' and 'Jr.' designations with caution.
