Sunday afternoon the ashes of Charles McCOY, only son of J.H. and Lou McCOY were interred at Antioch Cemetery. Death occurred at Oakland, Calif., Aug. 11, 1929. Ashes sent here to his cousins, E.R. & H.E. SMITH for burial beside his father's grave. He was born near Birmingham and removed to Napa, Calif., about 30 years ago.

Note: Parents were James H. and Sarah Lorene 'Lou' SMITH McCOY. From the 1895 Iowa State Census (Jefferson County, Penn Twp.), Charles was 21 years old and born in Van Buren County, IA. No stone was listed for him when the cemetery was read in 1970.
