DEATH CLAIMS H. E. BENNETT

Death came early this morning to Harry BENNETT, life-time resident of Fairfield and long-time clothing store salesman.

He passed away at the Jefferson county hospital about 1:45 a.m. after an illness of several years. He became seriously ill again about a month ago and had been a patient at the hospital the past three weeks.

Last rites will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with Dr. E. A. Piper in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Harry E. BENNETT was born January 26, 1884, at Fairfield, the son of the late Jake (sic - Jacob) and Emma CARTER BENNETT. He lived his entire life in this community and was associated with the Cuddy Clothing store for over 30 years.

He was united in marriage on July 31, 1913, to Mable SCHMADAKA, who survives. The wedding took place in Fairfield.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, Will BENNETT, Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and a sister.

To All Whom It May Concern:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED, That an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and testament of Harry E. BENNETT, Deceased dated June 28, 1945 having been his day filed, open and read, Monday the 19th day of November, 1951, is fixed for hearing proof of same at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, before the district Court of said County, or the Clerk of said Court, and at 9:30 o'clock A.M., of the day above mentioned all persons interested are hereby notified and required to appear, and show cause if any they have, why said instrument should not be probated and allowed as and for the last Will and Testament of said deceased.

Public Notice Is Hereby Given:

That the undersigned has this day been appointed and commissioned by the District Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Iowa, Executrix of the estate of Harry E. BENNETT, Deceased.

All persons having claims against said estate are hereby notified to file them with the Clerk of said Court, clearly stated and duly sworn to, and within legal time, preparatory to their being allowed or proved, and persons owing said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned and avoid costs.
