DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN-
Died at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Parsons, near Libertyville, Jan. 18th, 1880, Mrs. Margaret Laughlin Wilson, in the 97th year of her age. Mr. Wilson was born in Fayette county, Pa., on New Year's day, 1784. She married Alexander Wilson in 1803, and about the same time united with the Dunlap's Creek Presbyterian church. In 1839 she and family came to Iowa, settling in Jefferson county on the farm where she died. Her husband died about fifteen years since at the age of 89. She leaves a numerous family connection, children and children's children to the fourth generation to cherish her memory and honor her example.
