Edwin Ernest LUNDQUIST

Edwin Ernest LUNDQUIST, 73, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at home.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Suzanne Swahn and the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Interment will be in Salina Cemetery, Salina.

Family visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established to First Christian Church and Good Samaritan Hospice.

Mr. LUNDQUIST was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Fairfield, the son of Ernest Leonard and Vivian Maxine BANKS LUNDQUIST. He married Helen CAUSHAWN VAN BLARICOM Feb. 10, 1968, in Memphis, Mo. She died Nov. 20, 2004.

Mr. LUNDQUIST grew up in Douds, but lived most of his life in Fairfield. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1957. He was a foundry worker at Fairfield Aluminum Castings Co. and Dexter Company and retired from Iowa Malleable Iron Works in Fairfield.

Mr. LUNDQUIST was a member of First Christian Church in Fairfield.

He collected and repaired antique clocks and was a member of numerous clock clubs. He was a volunteer at the Bargain Box and The Lord's Cupboard.

Survivors include two daughters: Misty SULLENDER of Brooksville, Fla., and Kathy SCOTT of Charlotte, N.C.; three sons: Tim LUNDQUIST and Anthony LUNDQUIST, both of Fairfield, and Randy LUNDQUIST and wife Courtney of Charlotte, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Vera RICHERT of Douds and Jeanne KING of Gillespie, Ill.; and two brothers: Melvin LUNDQUIST of Fairfield and Frank LUNDQUIST of Des Moines.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian SHULL, and his parents.
