Jack BLAKELEY Dies Suddenly

Jack BLAKELEY, 80, of Fairfield, died Monday at chandler, Ariz., while visiting his son, Jack Jr.

The body will arrive at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield on Wednesday morning.

Services are pending.

Rites For J. BLAKELEY

Services for Jack BLAKELEY who died suddenly Monday of a heart attack at the home of his son in Higley, Ariz., will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating.

Graveside military rites will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery by the American Legion.

John E. (Jack) BLAKELEY, 80, was born Sept. 7, 1895 in Jefferson County, the son of Oscar and Clara TURNHAM BLAKELEY. On Sept. 12, 1922 he married Luella WATSON. She died May 27, 1952. On April 27, 1961 BLAKELEY married Mabel V. GUYMON.

The deceased, whose home was at 709 W. Kirkwood, had lived in the community all his life. He had been in failing health for several months and had been visiting his son the past two months. He was a WWI veteran and member of the American Legion.

BLAKELEY is survived by his wife; one son, Jack Jr. of Higley, Ariz.; one grand-daughter; three brothers, Charles of Fairfield, Carl of Lakeside, Calif., Joe of Stockport and one sister, Mrs. Lula BRERETON of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by six brothers.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday, 7:30 to 9 p.m., for visitation.
