Last rites for Mrs. Cora May (Mamie) HARRISON, 83, Fairfield, will be held Friday at 1:30 at the Raymond Funeral home. Mrs. HARRISON died Tuesday afternoon at the Nelson Nursing home. She had been in poor health since suffering a stroke last June. Services will be conducted by the Rev. J. R. Crandall. Burial will be in Abingdon cemetery.
Mrs. HARRISON was born June 7, 1880 in Jefferson County, the daughter of William and Mary Ann HINTZ BROWN. She was married March 30, 1899 to John A. HARRISON. Most of her life was spent in this county. She was a member of the Christian church. Mrs. HARRISON is survived by the following children: Mrs. Bula KIEWS, Packwood; Mrs. Mary HERMAN, Farson; Mrs. Jessie HUFFMAN and Mrs. Edna ALLISON, both of Libertyville; Guy HARRISON, Andrew HARRISON and C.F. (Bob) HARRISON, all of Fairfield; and Ralph HARRISON, Libertyville. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gussie SMITH, Cedar Rapids. Mrs. HARRISON's husband preceded her in death June 29, 1941. Two sons, four brothers and one sister are also deceased.
