ABINGDON, May 15. Lucinda CALDWELL was born in Nicholas County, Ky., Mar. 24, 1822, and died May 9, 1905, aged 83 y. 2 m. 15 d. When a girl she emigrated with her grandparents to Rush County, Indiana, where she grew to womanhood. Nov. 3, 1844, she was united in marriage with Andrew McCREERY. The young couple emigrated to Iowa in the fall of 1847, living in Keokuk County until 1867, after which they resided continuously in Abingdon. Eleven children, five dying in infancy; one daughter and five sons remain, with her aged companion. The living children are: Mrs. John LOEHR of Fairfield; Landy of Oskaloosa; William of Ladona, Mo.; Harvey, Daniel and John of Abingdon. M.E. Church.... Remains laid in Abingdon Cemetery.

Note: Andrew died in 1911 and is also buried in Abingdon Cemetery.
