Mrs. Rosa M. RUSSELL, 85, lifetime resident of the Fairfield area, died at 4:40 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been a patient for 11 days. Service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Donald Hickman. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. RUSSELL had made her home with Mrs. Florence Baldwin, southwest of the city. She was born Aug. 30, 1877, near Brookville, the daughter of Alfred and Mary HUDSON CALDWELL. She was married to S. O. RUSSELL, Sept. 25, 1895. He preceded her in death Aug. 20, 1936. Mrs. RUSSELL was a member of the Free Methodist church. She is survived by three sons, Gaylord RUSSELL, Fairfield; Gilbert RUSSELL, Cedar Rapids; and George RUSSELL, Minneapolis, Minn. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter, three brothers and one sister are deceased.
