Sallie Ann MITCHELL, wife of John TRENT, died at Abingdon the 23d ult. She was born in Hancock County, Ind., October 8th 1835, was married May 8th 1851, and came to Jefferson County in 1860. Six children survive her -- Thomas TRENT and Mrs. LENOX at Oklahoma City, Okla., Joseph TRENT of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Elizabeth DURBIN of Wapello County, and J.B. TRENT and Mrs. Lillie GOBBLE of Polk township. Mrs. TRENT was an excellent woman and was held in high esteem in the neighborhood in which so much of her life was spent. The remains were interred at Abingdon the 24th ult., Rev. C. E. Hunt having charge of the services.
