Sharon Kay REDLINGER

Sharon Kay REDLINGER, 73, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at her residence.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Troy Richmond officiating. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. and a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 5 p.m. followed by a prayer service.

Memorials have been established to Hospice of Washington County and St. James Catholic Church.

Mrs. REDLINGER was born April 27, 1938, in Brighton, the daughter of Leonard and Genevieve KURTZ FRITZ. She married Bob REDLINGER Sept. 15, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain.

Mrs. REDLINGER graduated from Brighton High School in1956. She worked for Washington County Public Health for many years. She later provided independent home health care until her retirement. She battled Multiple Sclerosis the last 15 years.

Mrs. REDLINGER was a member of St. James Parish in Washington and Catholic Daughters.

She enjoyed collecting angels, gardening and spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, John and wife Cyndi and Tim and wife Kerrie, all of Washington; three daughters, Julie ROSS and husband Jim of Washington, Deb TURNER and husband Steve of Washington and Tina SCHWEITZER and husband Gerry of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Jean BATES; and two brothers, Larry FRITZ of Washington and Gary FRITZ of Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
