... At his home in Garden Grove, Iowa, Tuesday, Dec. 17.... He was born and raised in Jefferson County and lifed his life here on the farm where he was born, in Polk Township near Packwood, until the spring of 1906, when he removed with his family to Garden Grove.... Aged 63 y. 1 m. 10 days..... In 1867 Mr. GILLETTE was married to Miss Elizabeth MOORE. They were blessed with a family of ten children, seven of whom, with the mother, remain: Flaval of Jefferson, Iowa; Ray, of Packwood; Nevada and Bertha of Garden Grove; Mrs. Ross MOWERY, of Hedrick; Mrs. Whit LINES of Packwood; Mrs. May RIDGWAY, of Jefferson.... The remains were brought here from Garden Grove, Iowa, and the funeral services conducted from the Campbellite church at Abingdon, and interment made in the nearby cemetery in the family lot.....
