Page 3, Column 6SERIOUS ACCIDENT--Noah DAVIS, a young man about twenty-two years of age, living near Abingdon, met with serious accident Saturday, which may cost him his life. While digging a well on the farm of David Woolery, five miles northwest of that place, the bucket, filled with dirt, fell on him from near the top of the well, making a frightful wound and tearing almost half the scalp from his head. As soon as possible medical aid was summoned, and Dr. Davis, who attended him, thinks the skull is not fractured. The young man has been in an unconscious condition ever since the accident, and his recovery is doubtful. He was a man of considerable ability and was fitting himself for the practice of law.
