DEATH OF MRS. NANCY ROBINSON.

At the residence of her son, McK. ROBINSON in this city, Friday morning Oct. 28th, 1881, Mrs. Nancy (sic - Nancie) ROBINSON breathed her last. She was 83 years, 5 months and 24 days old. Mrs. ROBINSON was born in Harrison County, Va. In 1815 she was married to Benjamin ROBINSON. In 1823 they removed to Indiana, and from there to Illinois in 1825. They came to Iowa in the spring of 1843, settling near Abingdon in Polk Township. Mr. ROBINSON died in April 1857.... Fourteen children were born to them -- eight boys and six girls, ten of whom are yet living. Six of her sons were in the army, two of them dying before their terms of enlistment had expired.... Her remains were interred in the Abingdon graveyard by the side of her husband who had preceded her more than twenty-three years before.
