Mrs. HARPER, 86, Taken In Death

Mrs. A. K. HARPER, 86, a resident of Fairfield for 66 years, died Monday at 8:10 p.m. at the Nelson Nursing Home after a serious illness of two and a half months. She had been in failing health for several years.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m at the First Methodist church in charge of the Rev. James W. Dendler and the Rev. Robert Swanson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be take from the Weston Behner Funeral home to the church Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. HARPER was the former Beatrice Blanche BROWN. She was born Aug. 18, 1878 in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Evelyn TIFFANY BROWN. She was married to A. K. HARPER, founder and president of the Harper Brush Works, Oct. 2, 1901.

Surviving are her husband and two children: Mrs. M. K. LONG, Fairfield; and Dale J. HARPER, Portersville, Calif. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. HARPER was a member of the First Methodist church.
