Donald Doran HESTON

Donald Doran HESTON, 83, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at home.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Fairfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and sent to 302 S. 31st St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. HESTON was born Oct. 30, 1927, the son of Emil and Norabelle SHIRKEY HESTON in Fairfield.

Mr. HESTON was a lifelong resident of Fairfield. He worked at Dexter Co. on the assembly line for 27 years.

His interests included walking and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include four siblings: Emil Jr. HESTON of Fairfield, Earlene "Shirley" COUNTRYMAN of Moline, Ill., Earl HESTON of Bettendorf and Kenneth HESTON of Ankeny.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Merle, Max and LaVerne; and one sister: Betty Jean.
