Betty J. GILL, 64, formerly of Richland, died early today, Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

Betty J. GILL, 64, formerly of Richland, died at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. July 2 at Woolson Friends Church near Richland, with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

General memorials may be mailed to the family in care of William Gill, 204 W. North St., Richland 52585.

Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home.

Ms. GILL was born Sept. 15, 1946, in Salem, the daughter of Arlo W. and Doris I. NELSON GILL.

Ms. GILL was raised in Van Buren County, Jefferson County and Keokuk County. She lived in Richland 1982-2001, when she moved to Center Village near Keosauqua.

She was active in and enjoyed all Center Village activities.

Survivors include her mother of Fairfield; three sisters: Janet GILBERT of St. Paul, Minn, JoAnn SCEARCY of Libertyville and Susie MESSMER of Davenport; and two brothers: Terry GILL of Albion and William GILL of Richland.

Her father preceded her in death.
