DEATH COMES TO CHARLES O. SCHILLERSTROM
Well-known Fairfield Man Had Worked On C. B. & Q. For 51 Years

Charles O. SCHILLERSTROM who was born Oct. 27, 1849 at Glendale died today at 6 a.m. at his home 103 W. Kirkwood. He had been in failing health for three years and seriously ill since Nov. 1.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, Gus C. of Fairfield, and Harry of Pambine Wisc. He is also survived by three brothers Gust of Fairfield, Paul of Los Angeles, and Joseph of Salina. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 56 years and he and Mrs. SCHILLERSTROM were married Nov. 23, 1876 at Glendale. He had been an employee of the Burlington railroad, and was retired after 51 years of service.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home in Fairfield.

C. SCHILLERSTROM RITES WILL BE HELD TOMORROW

Funeral services for Charles O. SCHILLERSTROM, who died at his home here yesterday, will be held at the Hoskins Funeral Home on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., in charge of Rev. A. R. Toothachre. Burial will be in the Union cemetery.

C. O. SCHILLERSTROM

Charles Oscar SCHILLERSTROM was born Oct. 27, 1848 near Lockridge. He was the son of G.O. SCHILLERSTROM and wife Inga, whom departed at ripe old ages. He was next to oldest of eight children three of whom are still living: Joseph, of Salina, Paul of Los Angeles, Calif., and Gust of Fairfield. He leaves many relatives and friends. In 1866 he was converted and joined the Baptist Church of New Sweden.

At the time of death he was 87 years, 4 months and 21 days. His father died at ripe old age of 94 years and his mother at 71 years. He was an employee of C. B. & Q. R. R. for 51 years. He was a resident of Fairfield for 56 years. In a few more months he would have observed his 60th wedding anniversary. He was a kind and devoted father. His parents were among the first pioneers of Jefferson County in 1846.

He was married Nov. 23, 1876 at Glendale, to Hannah PETERSON. He leaves his wife and two sons, Gust of Fairfield and Harry of Pembine, Wis. Six children departed from life young. Also, he leaves 6 grandchildren, one in Fairfield, Elleen and five in Pembine, Wis. He was laid to rest in Union cemetery near Glendale.
