Gust O. SCHILLERSTROM, 89, retired Jefferson County farmer, died early this morning at his home, 409 W. Hempstead. Spent entire life in this county. Born Feb. 2 1862 on a farm near Salina, son of Gustaf O. and Inga PETERSON (?) (sic - JACOBSON) SCHILLERSTROM.... His first wife, Clara JOHNSON, died in 1900. Feb. 12 1918 he married Celia M. JACOBSON who survives. Other survivors include the following children: Mrs. Leona FICKEL, Mrs. Clara LaPOINT, both of Ottumwa; Jane SCHILLERSTROM, Des Moines; Gust Allen SCHILLERSTROM, Clinton; Mrs. Margaret ERWIN, Yakima, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. A son, Ellsworth C. SCHILLERSTROM, was killed in an explosion at the Burlington Ordnance Plant in Dec. 1941. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Baptist Church.
