AN OLD RESIDENT GONE.

Jacob RAMEY, a pioneer settler of northwestern Jefferson County, died at his home a mile west of Abingdon Sunday morning. Deceased was 86 years of age the 25th inst. .... He had reared a large family in this county, and was widely known and very generally esteemed as an honest and upright man. The remains were interred in the Myers cemetery in Polk township Monday morning.

Note: His wife was Sarah LONGERBONE who died in 1872. She is also buried in Myers Cemetery but under her maiden name.
