H. HARPER Dies at 86

Henry A. HARPER, 86, Fairfield Route 4, died Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Nelson Nursing Home where he had been a resident since April of 1972.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned. C. Gillum officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

HARPER was a retired construction worker. He was born Feb. 9, 1887 at Unionville, Mo., the son of James and Alice HINES HARPER. He moved to Iowa at the age of 16. On May 15, 1909 he was married to Sarah HAVNER. She preceded him in death in 1968.

HARPER is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arthur DELP, Davenport; seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, John HARPER, and one sister, Mrs. Jennie LATHROP, both of Fairfield.

One son, two great-grandchildren, two sisters and five brothers are deceased.
