Julia SODERGREN

KEOSAUQUA - Julia SODERGREN, 101, of Keosauqua, died at noon Saturday, May 30, 1992, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Sara Malone officiating. Visitation is open at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Kilbourne Cemetery and Van Buren Good Samaritan Center Activity Fund.

Mrs. SODERGREN was born July 31, 1890, at Kilbourne, the daughter of George and Kate TAYLOR GILBERT. She married William LYONS on March 17, 1909. He died July 3, 1961. In 1964 (sic. May 8, 1964), she married Archie SODERGREN of Fairfield. He died in 1967. She had lived her life in Kilbourne and Keosauqua and was one of the first residents of Country Lane Apartments in Keosauqua. She had lived at the Good Samaritan Center since 1985. She was a member of the former Kilbourne Methodist Church and Ladies Aide.

Surviving are her daughter, Mamie CARLTON of Birmingham; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and a great-great-great-granddaughter. Two daughters, Maxine WRATTEN and Gretchen BELL, four sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
