Bessie F. WEBER, 94, of Richland, died at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Saints Joseph & Cabrini Church in Richland, with the Rev. Robert Striegel and the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.
Open visitation will be from 4:30-6 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland. Family visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association may be left at the church or may be mailed to the family at 420 Juniper St., North Liberty 52317-9205.
Mrs. WEBER was born March 3, 1917, in Clear Creek Townshp, south of Keota, the daughter of John Edward and Cecil SINGLETON HENRY. She married Raymond N. WEBER March 1, 1938. He died July 21, 1988.
Mrs. WEBER was raised in the Clear Creek area and attended Shinbone country school. The WEBERs farmed south of Keota until they retired and moved to Richland in 1967.
Mrs. WEBER was a member of Saints Joseph & Cabrini Church in Richland, Altar and Rosary Society and Star Country Club.
Surivivors include five children: Raymond H. WEBER of Keota, Hubert WEBER and wife Janice of Keota, Eugene WEBER and wife Virginia of Sigourney, Mary KLINE and husband William of North Liberty and Martin WEBER and wife Sancy COCKRIEL of Yorkville, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandcildren; and one sister, Betty WEAVER of Rogers, Ark.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter; three brothers: Samuel, Wayne and Kenneth HENRY; one sister: Viola HENRY; and one daughter-in-law: Linda WEBER.
