Loretta Lorene SIEREN

Loretta Lorene SIEREN, 82, of Brighton, died at 7:27 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at home.

A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saints Joseph & Cabrini Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Robert Striegel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.

Family visitation will be from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Prayers for a Christian Wake at 7 p.m.

General memorials may be left at the church or may be mailed to the family at 1665 335th St., Brighton 52540.

Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Mrs. SIEREN was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Memphis, Mo., the daughter of Willis W. and Marvel Ann NORTH BRUEGGE. She married Cletus SIEREN Nov. 27, 1952, in East Pleasant Plain. He died Feb. 5, 1999.

Mrs. SIEREN grew up in Wellman and Germanville, where she attended country school. She was a nurse's aide at Washington Care Center for 27 years. She also operated a foster home, helped farm and dressed chickens.

Mrs. SIEREN was a member of Saints Joseph & Cabrini Church and Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include four daughters: Shirley SIEREN of Brighton, Patricia RICHARD and husband Daniel of Brighton, Sharon NICHOLSON and husband Claude of Fairfield and Linda FRANZEN and husband Dennis of Washington; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; two sisters: Lucille GIBERSON and Edna LOVING; and three brothers: Bob, Lee and Gilbert BRUEGGE.
