COUNTY PIONEER DIED

... Steven GIBERSON had lived his entire life in Jefferson County. Died Wednesday morning, January 14 at Fort Meyers, Florida, and was brought to Stockport Monday and from there was taken to his home southeast of the city on Cedar at the edge of the county where funeral services were held. Interment was made in the Fidler (sic - Fiedler) cemetery. Steven GIBERSON was born in Jefferson County September 20, 1860 and had spent his entire life here. His wife died in March 1924. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Zelta ASHBY of Stockport, Otto of Fairfield, and Marvin and Esther at home.

Note: His obituary spells his first name as Steven, but his gravestone uses Stephen. His wife, Ella HECKATHORN GIBERSON, is buried with him in Fiedler Cemetery.
