Page 3, Column 5DIED. PARK -- At his residence in Salina, Sept. 28, 1872, Daniel PARK, aged 81 years, 4 months and 5 days. Father PARK was born in Huntingdon County, Penna. Came with his family in the spring of 1846 to Jefferson County, Iowa, where he remained and worked at his trade -- blacksmithing. In the winter of 1855, under the labors of Rev. M. Lee, he was converted and joined the M.E. Church, of which he remained an humble (sic), quiet member until the Savior said, "It is enough; come up higher."

Note: Buried in Berry Cemetery. He was married twice, his first wife being Patsy (according to her gravestone; possibly this was Martha?) and his second wife Elizabeth BROWN WEAVER.
