TOOTHACRE FUNERAL

The body of Mrs. A. R. TOOTHACRE, who died suddenly in Haskins, Ohio Wednesday night, was brought from Burlington yesterday to the First Baptist church at Lockridge where the last rites were held yesterday afternoon at 2 oclock.

The services were in charge of Rev. F. E. Weston of Mt. Pleasant who preached the sermon, Rev. Riggs of Burlington led in prayer, Rev. J. A. Cochran of Lockridge read the scripture, and Rev. Fred G. Crown of Fairfield led the prayer at the grave. Mrs. A. R. Litton of Lockridge sang a solo. The songs were sung by a quartet composed of Karl Larson, John Calkins, Leroy Linn and Clarence Mickey. There were many beautiful floral offerings. The pallbearers were: George Unkrich, Jospeh H. Hickenbottom, Gus Schillerstrom, M. Mickey, Perry Hickenbottom and William Bankhead.

Mrs. TOOTHACRE was the wife of Rev. A. R. TOOTHACRE, former pastor of the Baptist church in this city.

Note: Belle TOOTHACRE's maiden name was SMITH, the daughter of John SMITH and Harriet SCOTT SMITH. The last name has also been found as TOOTHAKER; it is TOOTHACRE on the gravestone. She is buried in Lockridge Cemetery with her husband Augustus R., he dying in 1937.
