TOWN AND COUNTRY: Particulars of the death of Francois Xavier HOSATTE, which was announced last week, were brought here by his son and Mr. Smith, his companions on the voyage. While in France Mr. HOSATTE had three severe chills, and was ill when he went on board the vessel at Antwerp on the 5th. He was anxious to get home, however, and thought he could stand the trip. For two days after sailing he was able to be around, but on the third was compelled to take his bed, and died on the 9th inst. His remains were buried at sea at noon of Sunday, the 10th. Mr. Smith brings with him the certificate of death signed by the captain of the vessel, the "Pietre de Connick." Deceased was 49 years of age, and had had lived in this county for a number of years. He was a man highly esteemed by those of his acquaintance. He leaves a wife and several children."
