"AMONG OUR NEIGHBORS: Alexander Pattison, aged United Presbyterian minister, died at Birmingham the 7th inst. The (Brighton) ENTERPRISE says he was born in Harrison County, Ohio, February 14th, 1806, graduated at the Allegheny, Penn., Theological Seminary in 1842, and thence entered upon his work. He was pastor of the churches at New London and Middletown from 1850 to 1860. He gave up the ministry to enter the Union army, and contracted disease in the service of his country which prevented active labor in later years and hastened his death."
