A Good Woman Gone.

Mrs. Tempy GREESON, wife of Jere BRAY, a well known resident of Blackhawk township, died at her home four miles west of Pleasant Plain on the 1st inst. from cancer of the breast. Deceased was in the sixty-third year of her age. She was a native of Guilford county, North Carolina, and removed thence with her parents to Indiana in 1831. The family came to Iowa in 1848, and located near Richland. There, on August 27th, 1854, Miss GREESON was married. With her husband she has resided in Jefferson county during all these intervening years. She reared a family of six children and also proved herself a devoted mother to four children of her husband by a former marriage. She was a most excellent woman and bore the highest respect of the entire community in which she lived. Funeral services over her remains were held at Howard Grove church on Wednesday, conducted by Rev. H. Shallenbarger.
