"The death of John G. Patison occurred at Salmon City, Idaho, June 17th, 1883. He was a son of Robert Patison, and was 31 years old last April. He had been living in Idaho for nine years, and was at home on a visit last winter a year ago. With other owners of a mine he had visited Salmon City for the purpose of bonding the mine. He was taken sick after his arrival in the city. His disease terminated in brain fever, his sickness lasting only four days. In his last illness he was with friends, two brothers, his sister and brother-in-law being with him. He was well known to many of our citizens and was esteemed by his acquaintances."
