"JOSEPH WALMER DIED MONDAY.
Joseph Walmer, an old and highly esteemed resident of Cedar township, died yesterday afternoon after an illness of some time. He was a brother of Daniel Walmer of this city and was well known here. Mr. Walmer served his country during the Civil War, being a member of Company I, 45th Iowa Infantry. The funeral services were held this afternoon at two o'clock at the home and the interment took place in the Ankrom cemetery. Four members of Company I were pall bearers for their comrade. They were A. W. Jaques, John McLean, C. L. Parrott, and John F. Loehr all of this city. A number of friends from this city attended the funeral services."
NOTE: Joseph Walmer is listed as being buried in Pattison Cemetery.
