Anna Belle SKAGGS, 82, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alan Mullikin officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morris Park in Stockport, Birmingham Lions or Good Samaritan Hospice in Ottumwa. Cards and memorials may be sent to Karen Crawford, 207 South B St., Fairfield 52556.
Mrs. SKAGGS was born Sept. 19, 1928, in Stockport, the daughter of Milo and Birdena MORRIS CLARK. She married Wilson "Bill" SKAGGS Aug. 19, 1950, in Memphis, Mo. He died Feb. 23, 2008.
Mrs. SKAGGS was a bookkeeper at First National Bank in Fairfield. She retired after 37.5 years as an officer of the bank.
Mrs. SKAGGS was a lifetime member of Order of Eastern Star and also was a member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter: Karen CRAWFORD and husband Gene of Fairfield; one daughter-in-law: Ann SKAGGS of Birmingham; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother: Gene CLARK of Stockport; and two stepsisters: Kay UNKRICH and Rita WILLSON.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother: Eldena CLARK; one son: Kris SKAGGS; and one sister: Alice CAMPBELL.
