CHANDLER Rites Will Be Monday

Death came Thursday afternoon to Mrs. Anna CHANDLER, resident of Fairfield for over 42 years.

She passed away about 12:42 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient since she suffered a stroke on Sept. 3, 1960.

Last rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist church with the Rev. J. Roland Crandall officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Raymond funeral home to the church at 12:45 p.m. on the day of the service.

Anna Mae KANN CHANDLER, 80, was born May 10, 1881, in Jefferson county, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary FLINSPACH KANN. he (sic) was reared and educated in Jefferson county, and married to Gregg W. CHANDLER (sic. George Greggeory CHANDLER) on March 11, 1908. He passed away June 26, 1933.

She had been a resident of Fairfield for 42 years. The family home is located at 410 N. Court.

Mrs. CHANDLER is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth ALDRICH, Whittier, Calif.; one grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Minnie KRUMBOLTZ, Fairfield; and six brothers, William, Fred, Bert, Edward, Harry and Ralph KANN, all of Fairfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son who died in infancy.

CHANDLER Kin Attend Rites

Mr. and Mrs. David ALDRICH of Whittier, Calif., and their daughter, Ann, of Seattle, Wash., left by plane Monday evening after being called to Fairfield by the death of Mrs. Anna CHANDLER, mother of Mrs. ALDRICH.

Others from out of town who attended last rites for Mrs. CHANDLER Monday afternoon were Mrs. Roy Gordon, Bennington, Nev., Mrs. Marshall Green and Mrs. Winfield Green and Margaret Green of Mountain Lake, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Hardin Farmer, Ottumwa; Ada Brown, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Maasdam also of Ottumwa.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dutton and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Mangold, all of Burlington, came Sunday to be with the family. They were unable to be present Monday.

Notice Is Hereby Given, That the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as executrix of the estate of Anna M. CHANDLER, deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned, for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.

Dated at Fairfield, Iowa.
