Mildred TUCKER, 79, of Keosauqua, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mildred Alice TUCKER

Mildred Alice TUCKER, 79, of Keosauqua, died early Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Barker United Methodist Church, 4 miles south of Stiles, with the Rev. Carolyn Armento-Clark officiating. Burial will be in North Barker Cemetery beside the church.

Open visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to North Barker Cemetery Association. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 18356 222nd St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. TUCKER was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Hamilton, Ill., the daughter of Lloyd and Mary BOYCE MARSH. She married Charles Ross TUCKER March 5, 1950. He died Nov. 26, 1997.

Mrs. TUCKER graduated from Scotland County High School in Memphis, Mo. She was a homemaker most of her life, living on a farm near Pulaski.

Mrs. TUCKER had been a member of Richland Baptist Church in Hitt, Mo., Barker United Methodist Church and Downing Christian Church in Downing, Mo.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Stephen TUCKER and wife Becky of Keosauqua; three daughters, Carolyn ARMENTO-CLARK and husband Steve of Montrose, Kay PRICE and husband Roger of Bridgeton, Mo., and Ann SANDERS and husband Ken of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by parents; one brother, Lloyd MARSH Jr.; and one sister, Geraldine BURDEN.
