BRADEN rites

BATAVIA -- Services for Charles H. BRADEN, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. George W. Koch officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Martinsburg (note: Keokuk County).

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.

BRADEN died suddenly at 8:10 a.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He became ill at his apartment in Batavia and was taken to the hospital by ambulance where he died shortly after.

BRADEN was a former employee at the Louden Machinery Co. in Fairfield as a shipping clerk and security guard for 33 years before his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church.

Charles H. BRADEN was born June 9, 1907, in Towner, N.D., the son of Harve and Emma SUTTON BRADEN.

He was married to Leona LOGAN May 25, 1932, in Lancaster, Mo. She survives.

In addition to his widoww BRADEN is survived by two sons: Wiliam BRADEN, Batavia, and Robert BRADEN also of Batavia; a daughter, Joanna PULSE, Fayetteville, N.C.; seven grandchildren and a brother James BRADEN, Kansas City, Mo.
