ARMSTRONG rites Wednesday

Services for Clement W. ARMSTRONG, 81, 1009 S. Fourth St., who died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday (sic - Sept. 27th) at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery at Abingdon. Friends may call at their convenience. Memorials have been established to the Abingdon Cemetery and the American Cancer Society.

ARMSTRONG was born Dec. 16, 1905 in Jefferson County, the son of William J. and Frances LEELING ARMSTRONG. He married Elsie DAVIS Sept. 26, 1948 in Fairfield. He owned grocery stores in Fairfield and Keota, and had managed the state liquor store in Fairfield.

Surviving are his wife; a sister, Vera SWADLEY, and a nephew, Robert SWADLEY, both of Northglenn, Colo.
