Norman L. MOEHLE, 91, of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Park Place Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
A service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Bryan Katchay officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials have been established to Park Place Care Center and Iowa Hospice.

Mr. MOEHLE was born July 17, 1919, in Winfield, the son of Carl and Gladys SMITH MOEHLE. He married Gladys McGUCKIN June 1, 1946. She died Dec. 18, 1970. He later married Edna RAUSCHER ELLIOTT Feb. 27, 1981. She preceded him in death April 15, 1994.Mr. MOEHLE spent his life farming in the Lockridge community after serving in the United States Navy.
He was a member of the Henry County Fair Board from 1973 to 1996. He also was a member of Henry County Farm Bureau, Wayland Tractor Club and Henry County Cattleman Association, through which he was named Cattleman of the Year in 1995. He attended First Augustana Lutheran Church in Lockridge.
Survivors include one brother, Orlo MOEHLE of Stockport, and one sister, Joanne ORR of New London.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorotha CADWALLADER and Mary Jean WELLS; and one brother, Carl William MOEHLE.
