H.L. CAMPBELL IS DEAD AT 76

Hiram Lowery CAMPBELL, 200 W. Madison street, passed away early this morning at Jefferson county hospital after a long illness.

CAMPBELL, 76, had resided in Fairfield for the past sixteen years. He suffered a stroke two years ago and had been seriously ill for the past three weeks.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of the Rev. S.P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

CAMPBELL was born February 13, 1871. He was married to Mary Elizabeth PADGETT on October 9, 1894, the couple moving to Fairfield from Allerton, Iowa, in 1931. Mrs. CAMPBELL died in May, 1937.

He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Phillip WAYBRANT, Cedarville, Mich.; J. B. CAMPBELL, Mansen, Iowa; Mrs. P. W. CHAMPLIN, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. W.N. ALLGOOD, Salem, Oregon; Paul CAMPBELL, Los Angeles, Calif.; Homer CAMPBELL and Mrs. George S. BALL of Fairfield. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.
