Norbert Michael PAULY

Norbert Michael PAULY, 100, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Stephen C. Page officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Memorials have been established to the Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua, Good Samaritan Society Hospice, Jefferson County Health Center and St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Online condolences may be sent at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com.

Mr. PAULY was born April 26, 1910, in Keota, the son of John Henry and Teresa C. CONRAD PAULY. He married Beulah BERRYMAN Jan. 19, 1941, in Fairfield. She died Jan. 21, 1991.

Mr. PAULY was a farmer until he was 75 years old. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 80 years. He grew up in Keota and moved northwest of Fairfield in 1933.

Mr. PAULY was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield and the Farm Bureau.

Survivors include one son: Nick PAULY and wife Elaine of Ankeny; three daughters: Martha THOMPSON and husband Ron of Eldon, Patty SHEETZ and husband Aaron of Stockport and Rita SCANLAN and husband Bill of Fort Madison; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Vivian HOUGH and Loyola DAVIS, both of Portland, Ore.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Flavian and Wilfrid; three sisters: Bertille PAULY, Nathalia SAMUELSON and Dolores WORLEY; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
